Founder and principal

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Lygia cultivated a thriving career in sales—but after ten years, she left the corporate world to pursue her true calling: interior design. She earned her interior design degree and worked at two design firms before launching her own company in 2011. 

Lygia has since built a reputation for creating exceptional homes that reflect the real lives of her clients. No fabric is ever too precious to touch, no surface too dear to sink into or enjoy with abandon. Arizona is her greatest inspiration, but she also loves traveling to New York and Los Angeles in search of artisan crafts and vintage treasures. Along with her great eye for design, Lygia brings deep empathy, rigorous attention to detail, and a sense of fun—all honed during her years in sales—to every project, executing with seamless precision (and sharp wit) from start to finish.

In 2019, Lygia expanded her services to include Design Assistant®, a design toolkit that empowers clients to execute their own projects with Lygia’s professional guidance.

Lauren Narciso

Senior Designer, aka “The Woman Behind the Curtain”

Fellow Phoenix native Lauren first crossed paths with Lygia at design school, where they bonded over their mutual love for classic, cohesive interiors filled with character and color. In 2014, Lauren joined Lygia Harkins Interiors, bringing her technical expertise in AutoCAD and 3D software to the firm. Her role has since grown to encompass furnishings, creating client presentations, and much more. Interior design is Lauren’s passion both in and out of work. When not crafting meticulous technical drawings or wrangling spreadsheets, she enjoys doing DIY projects at home with her husband, and new son Ford, including woodworking and furniture design.

Leah Priser

Operations Manager

Leah oversees and manages all things procurement, including orders, tracking, and updates for Lygia Harkins Interiors. She cultivated her passion for design while studying Textiles & Clothing at Ohio State University, and upon graduating, worked as a Design Assistant at a local firm for eight years. After taking a break for the birth of her third child, Leah decided to jump back into the design world—this time, virtually. Now, in addition to keeping Lygia’s firm running like a well-oiled machine from her home base in Columbus, Ohio, Leah enjoys doing renovation projects with her husband and chasing after her three kids.
